Clutch Problems and Repair

California Bill Would Tax Polluting Cars, Rebate Low-Emission Vehicles
A bill under debate in the California Assembly would slap a one-time $2,500 tax on the sale of big polluting vehicles such as the Hummer, the Chevy Tahoe or the Dodge Viper.
Some cleaner SUVs, trucks and minivans would be exempt. And buyers of relatively low-polluting vehicles such as the Toyota Prius, Honda Civic, and Nissan Sentra would get hefty rebates.
Feebate laws have been enacted in Canada, Finland and parts of the EU. Proponents argue that the free market doesn't provide sufficient incentives for consumers to buy low-greenhouse gas vehicles. Though a previous version of the bill narrowly failed to pass the California Assembly, many state lawmakers are enraged at the Bush administration's abrogation of a state law that would have reduced tailpipe emissions by 30 percent over the next eight years.
Automakers, as you might expect, are less than thrilled with the bill. But there is growing consensus in California that the law is more sensible than strict mandates for car emissions because it works within the market system, allowing consumers to make choices accordingly.

The BIG 3 Auto Swap is held annually and has grown to be the largest old car event held in the San Diego area.
The 42nd annual antique and collector car parts exchange and swap meet will be held at Qualcomm (old Jack Murphy) Stadium on the weekend of February 29th, March 1st and 2nd, 2008. The BIG 3 Auto Swap is held annually and has grown to be the largest car event held in the San Diego area. This auto swap attracts participants from all over the country. The entire event is volunteer operated.
LA Lit and Toy show
Now in its 25th year, over 1,200 people attend the annual Porsche and Vintage V-W Literature, Toy/Model, & Memorabilia Swap Meet at the Los Angeles Airport Hilton Hotel.
The meet has over 225 tables with tens of thousands of collectibles - including posters, sales literature, toys, models, factory gift items, press kits, technical literature, small trim items, and accessories for Porsches and vintage VW's. The meet is held in two huge ballrooms on the main floor of the Airport Hilton, 5711 W. Century Blvd., Los Angeles - very close to the Los Angeles International Airport.
